Guy trouble

Hi everyone, im looking for a bit of outside advice on an issue im having just now. I was with a guy for the last 3 and half weeks, we were getting on brilliant, loving each others conversations and spending time together. Then he suddenly decided he needs a bit of space saying we should be friends and if something happens down the line, well so be it. What will be will be. Im a bit crushed because i had started to have feelings for him. He says he does too but he has other stuff going on and needs a break from relationships. He wants us to be friends and hang out though, even go to things as friends. Should i do this in the hope he changes his mind eventually or just give up on that and still be his friend. Thing is i think it might be too hard to be his friend when i have feelings for him. What do you think, should i just take a complete break away from him for my own protection? Or can we be friends. There is a 15 year age gap too, hes 23 and im 38. All advice most welcome

No offense but no 23 year old guy will want or see a long term future with a 38 year old woman. Get over it and move on.

In my opinion he said he wanted to be friends to be nice to you, to let you down gently or he is keeping you sweet to use you as a booty call. He's 23, he had a fling with an older woman. He had a good time now he's moving on.

Enjoy it for what it was and move on.

It seems like he's letting you down gently. You may have enjoyed the time you had together more than he did.

How do you feel about staying friends?

Forget about him. Anyone who has "too much going on" to be with you isn't worth the heartache.

By that I mean that if he doesn't want to treat you the way you want to be treated it's prob best not to put yourself in a position where your needs are secondary to him enjoying himself.

Yes, I agree with previous posts, he's letting you down gently, and the sooner you break contact, the better it will be for u, in terms of forgetting him and moving on.....to better things! Best of Luck :)
