    Is this still available? Maybe I imagined i saw it in Tesco recently.

    Would appreciate if someone had any advice.

    Got an urge for one recently. had last one in early 80's.....

    I remember those ... especially the little crunchy bits left when it didn't quite soak up enough water. Disgusting things :) I didn't realise they survived into the 80's though, the last time I had one was probably mid to late 70's I think.

    Fray Bentos steak and kidney pies, on the other hand, well ....

    OP I think you're looking back with rose tinted glasses- Vesta was beyond yuck-

    Dealz the €1.49 store stock it.

    Just remembered I bought a Vesta Beef Risotto :rolleyes:about a year ago for old time sake, might give it a go today.:D

    I used to get those in the early 90s, the dehydrated meat was gank now that I remember it!

    I used to also eat those "just add water" Little Dinners.

    I ate some amount of crap before I learned to cook properly! :D

    Vesta Beef Curry, the height of sophistication back then. I thought they were the business, I would probably barf if I ate one now.....I would try it though.

    I imagine it is what they use on space missions.
