    hi all. was thinking of buying a pup to train to hunt cattle and cows, looking for a good 1 as already have a idiot of one.

    any tips of what to look for and how i go about training one and how many here work a cattle dog on a dairy farm

    Being there, done that, got the T-shirt, had a couple of idiots around me and just gave up on them, it takes "ALOT" of time and patience and a certain amount of knowledge to train a dog and even then they need constant work to keep them on tune. My advice to you is if ya trained one fool the next one will prob be no better "not taking a pop at you, have done the same myself" id buy a quad as dairy stock are easily handled and forget about the madra.....
