Hey , I'm Luke, I'm going to DCFE for the coming year and have no idea where to stay or what to look for in Dun Laoghaire as this is my first year away from home. Believe it or not, I'd like to find a place with 20+ year olds, I like to study a lot and not go out a lot like most people my age, I love to keep neat place with other neat people so if anybody knows of a good place to stay there or with nice friendly people, that would be awesome :) I also plan to get a job on weekends to keep me busy :)

I'm afraid unless you wanna pay 500 a month you wont get student accom in Dun Laoghaire. My friend from college this year was from Tipp and she lived in digs where she got 2 meals a day and she went home at weekends. The house is about 5 mins from the centre of dun Laoghaire so it was dead handy for her. I could get the number of the landlady for you? I'm not sure how much it cost a week...

I wouldn't mind the 500 a month as long as I had 5 other people to help pay it with :P Yeah if you could get her number for me, that would be great :)

haha 500 a month is just for you I'm afraid, have a look at rental properties in The dun laoghaire, monkstown, glenageary, killiney on daft.ie, their mad expensive. Have a look at the accom available for sharing aswell. I've asked her for her landladys number but she might get in contact with you herself about the house :) x

Hey I'm looking for a place too. Maybe if we found more people we could find a house? house with 4 people, 1600 split is only 400 each and I'v seen a few of them. Oh yeah, I'm a 19 year old male student, easy to get along with and quite relaxed. I can cook and tidy too!
So yeah, if anyone is interested give me a shout.

Hi all, myself and a couple are looking for one extra person to possibly live with, a viewing in mind has come up in Cabinteely, probably this Thursday. Rent would work out at 350 per month. First to get back we will accommodate. Thanks

Awh cool, I'm starting arts, history an culture! My parents know dun laoghaire pretty well so ill ask them to have a look at places to rent around:) have you got any certain budget you want to stick too?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23 Wemysical

Great :) Well 100euro a week at the most so 400 a month but If I could avoid it, I would.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10 FionaH94

Yeah 400 a month would be my budget aswell:) i'll have a look on daft and everything now, unless you've already seen any?

I've only seen places for over 400 a month if you wanna share with other people but we can look at empty houses to rent that are within price range of 4 people so that would be 1600 a month but somewhere that costs less for 4 people would be great

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10 FionaH94

if we try look for a house around 1400 it'd work out at €350 each?

It's probably more useful to use Private Messaging for your arrangements.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12 DuckyBoB

Well theres a problem and that problem is there are no arrangements to make. We have no house, no definite number nothing. Just another day of hoping something will come up.
