Lets start a band - Interested?

This thread is for those who are (or may be) interested in forming a Rock n Roll band in Dublin. Aged from 20 to 32.
If you're still interested, please read on.

I am a Singer/Guitarist/Songwriter/Frontman looking for other musicians who are hoping to, or have been thinking of setting up a new band from scratch.

I am a full time musician and have been for the past 4 years. I have released and launched material and gigged around Dublins Independent music scene and outside, as well as festivals.

WHAT AM I LOOKING FOR?

To start, the following;
Lead/Electric Guitarist.
Bassist.
Drummer.
Backing Vox.

With that in place, I would then be looking for 100% ambition and commitment.
I would be hoping to have in total, four personnel. All of whom would add ideas, so that it's not a one-man ship, 25% effort throughout.
I work in a full time job, so you can too. With that said, I will still commit to my music projects.

After that, I would be hoping to arrange (with other members) rehearsal spaces/practice sessions/work on new material.
I would hope to co-write with possibly the lead guitarist. As in, melody, lyrics.

In time, I would be hoping to gig, busk and work hard on getting things off the ground.
I would be hoping to start rehearsals at some point in September. Through August, it would be ideal to meet and have a low key jam or two and possibly share melodies, etc..
Genre: undecided, but, my influences are The Smiths, The Pretenders, The Kinks, Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood mac, OMD, Tom Petty, to name but few..

Hey man!

My name is Derek, but everyone calls me Degs. I have been playing guitar many years now (Mainly Rhythm but can pull lead lines out of the bag too)! I would be interested in getting something going with you. At the moment I have been jamming with a drummer. We have only started jamming recently but we have come up with a few ideas. Pretty hard though to solidify all the ideas because we lack a vocalist and a bassist but with your help we could definitely get something going. Im 24 and from the Glasnevin area! Where are you based dude?
