How hard is it to film in landscape on those things?

Either Orton was wearing a cup or he did the fake low blow well. Security took their time, though I'm guessing if local they could've thought it was a storyline attack.
I liked how Big E was being held back.

Some kind soul had the courtesy to skip to the incident and rotate it to landscape.

Maybe it was that guy in NXT who can throw a cricket ball at 100mph.
    Can't even remember his name.

There's two types of people I'd imagine...
    1. Someone who is drunk and forgets it's a show and they are not involved. Being drunk, they want to be big tough guys, so challenge the wrestler. But that goes looks perfectly sober.

    2. Someone with a mental problem; most fans, I imagine, look at wrestling and wonder what it would be like to be involved, be in the ring with these guys, not just as themselves, but as a character in the show. But most fans will have that cop on to realise they aren't part of the show, and more importantly, it isn't real and thus you shouldn't get involved.

Looking at the video, the guy is dressed like a character, is "posing" before he attacks (and even the security don't realize straight away he's not part of the act)...hell, he even goes for a low blow, a move with no actual combat relevance when delivered that way, but is a classic heel move. Based on that clip, strikes me it's someone who wanted to be part of the show but didn't have the capability to realize he wasn't part of the show.

Leo Kruger. If they want to debut him on the main roster in the next month, there's his kayfabe entry into the company.

Work I'd say,it's a been reported on WWE.com and is on WWE's YT channel. When has a fan attack ever been acknowledged by WWE like that before?

Plus why did Orton's music stop when it happenned too?

Certainly very odd for it to be posted on the WWE Youtube page alright.

WWE.com has learned that Randy Orton was violently attacked by an audience member during a SmackDown World Tour Live Event in Cape Town, South Africa, yesterday evening. Footage of the attack was captured by a WWE fan and posted to YouTube, and shows the perpetrator striking Orton from behind. The matter is currently under investigation by the local authorities, and the South African fan is being held in jail pending criminal charges. The extent of Orton's injuries are unknown at this time.

The extent of his injuries are unknown. Lol. WWE.com even posted the link to the video.

Looks real to me. Don't see why they would do a worked storyline with Orton when he is most likely going to cash in MITB and win the title at Summerslam.

Totally exposes the business by not selling the low blow long enough.;)

Wrestlezone getting reports that the "attacker" is actually a local wrestler (which explains some of the things I was attributing to there being a mental problem).

WZ reader Jaco Breytenbach has sent in the following:

I was at the Cape Town event last night. The incident with the fan and Randy Orton may be a work. The "fan" is a local wrestler called Blacksmith. He trains regularly (4- 5 days a week) at the gym where I am a manager. Adding fuel to the matter is that some people who were in attendance claim that the event security opened up a gap towards the finish of the Orton/Langston match where the "fan"/Blacksmith was able to enter the ring.

WZ reader M. Huntley has sent in the following:

The guy who 'attacked' Randy Orton during last night's event at the Gran West Arena was local South African wrestler The Blacksmith. Many fans in the arena found the whole incident strange and suspicious as he was posing for photos before the show with fans who recognized him. He was sitting 5 or 6 rows in front of my friends and I. He entered the ring when the event crew backed-off from the security spots giving him the window to proceed into the ring. Everyone on the bus home was suspicious about the whole thing, a few people reckon its a WWE publicity stunt to sell tickets or to take away attention from TNA's August1 videos given the fact that people would be watching footage of Orton's so-called attack.

WZ reader Daniel Hayward has sent in the following:

I attended this infamous WWE event last night. People were posing for photos with the guy who attacked Randy Orton last night. The attacker is a domestic wrestler called The Black Smith. The general feeling in South Africa is that this whole thing is a PR stunt and not a legitimate incident as that of the Pieter van Zyl, the fan who attacked a referee in an international rugby match between South Africa and New Zealand back in 2002 which was a legitimate occurrence. Sorry to burst the bubble, but this thing was planned. The Black Smith was a plant. No Steve Bartman incident here.

The guy built up to the lowblow nicely. Same it was no-sold.

    He wants the MiTB briefcase:

I have to laugh people talking about Blacksmith having a mental illness when Orton's entrance music has the lyric 'I hear voices in my head'.

Doesn't help he can't spell wrestling
