Man do you posters never learn, there is an Oxegen thread where the last 15 posters have been asking the same question. If you are a day tripper its a no to all of your questions apart from the 6 euro a pint in the arena, if you are camping you can bring booze into the campsite but not the arena.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

The high alcohol prices are not a joke really, while it may empty your wallet faster it also prevents people from getting too wasted, this has the potential to prevent fights and/or lighten the load on the medical teams who have to treat people for injuries caused by those who are overly intoxicated with alcohol, you also have the option to enjoy the day out without the need to be S**t faced drunk, no one should require alcohol to enjoy the festival..

Yes, because as we all know you have to be drunk to enjoy yourself.

    Don't be silly man.

I don't know, have you seen the lineup?

He's got a point; if alcohol were more reasonably priced, people may just opt to buy it in there throughout the course of the day. Instead it is prohibitively expensive for many, so they drink a days worth of cans before going in, and consume more easily smuggled substances when in there.

Festivals cannot exist without the big alcohol sponsorship, and the alcohol companies will not see it as worthwhile if they cannot gouge patrons.

Given that the bars will more than likely close down at 10pm, if should be entertaining to see the facial expressions of the inexperienced festival goer who has spent his/her day drinking cans/spirits in the campsite before heading to the arena for the main acts, looking forward his/her few pints only to find that the bar is now closed and by the time Guetta/ Calvin Harris come on, the hangover will be kicking in!!

You'll need something stronger than alcohol to enjoy that lineup. The absolute pits of the music industry all gathered in one place. Anyone attending Oxegen this year is either a complete simpleton or a complete knacker who is just going to cause hassle. Theres no other explanation.

Upping the price of drink does not prevent people from getting too wasted. It's a lazy form of prohibition that doesn't work. It just encourages people like our young friend here to get f#cked up before they get in. Getting pissed at a music festival was a rite of passage for 95% of us, its a perfectly normal thing for a young person to do so get off your high horse. Granted theres always the actions of few that will spoil things but that can't be avoided, its idiotic to punish everyone with higher prices because of this.

Man, can you explain why you feel like this? I just don't understand.
Can you not see that if everybody goes in wasted, it's like a timebomb waiting to go off, and the atmosphere is nasty, ruining it for everybody. Why not just tip away, get a nice buzz going and pace yourself?
You and everybody else will have a much better time

You're a ****ing tool. I go to college so I wouldn't consider myself a simpleton. Never been in a fight in my life either. I'm just a massive fan of Snoop Dogg so keep your mouth shut you ****ing muppet
