    Im self employed,first year making a tax return...roughly 24,000 earned threw the year.How much roughly should i be expecting to pay??

    Can i offset vat from diesel?

    Dunno OP, I'd imagine it depends on whether you're VAT reg'ed or not. I do know one thing, tho. You can offset the cost of an accountant ;)

    If you're VAT reg you can recover VAT on diesel (not petrol)

    How much income tax you will pay depends on your personal circumstances. Just google tax calculators for a rough idea.
