Confusion over fixed term contract

Hi all Herself has just got a job offer.on the salary it says x amount per annum.her contract is initially 11month but possibility of renewal.shes confused on whether the salary is divided by 12 (a yr period) or by 11 ( initial length of contract)

Per annum means per year.

If she works 11 months she'll earn 11 months of the 12 month per annum salary.
