Hit one of my bigger milestones today, 50lbs lost since I started trying to get healthy again. Still doing next to no exercise so this is all attributed to diet at the moment :)

A lot of information has been learned here, and I appreciate all the guys who really know what they are talking about sharing their knowledge.

Am 40lbs away from target weight now, and I honestly thought I wouldn't get this far. So thanks guys!

Fair play but why are you making it more difficult on yourself by not exercising? Sorry if there was a back story I missed...

Just never seem to have the time. Herself works nights and we've two young kids, any time I get geared up to go training, I am usually needed at home.

Friends from college has moved up with his girlfriend last week and she has offered to babysit while we go to the gym together and that will start my exercise regime. Already terrified as I've never done a proper gym program before :D

You don't need a gym to workout.

Do some bodyweight exercises and go for a run now and then..

exercise with the kids. lift, squat and run with them, turn your babysitting time into your exercise time. As they grow bigger so will your muscles. ;-)

Congratulations! That's really great :) for about 2-3 months I did exercise DVDs and lost a stone, then for about two months due to illness I didn't leave my bed most days but I was delighted that my weight didn't change at all besides a slight +/- 1 pound every so often. Started up at the gym the middle of last month and lost about half a stone already, woohoo!

What are the biggest changes you've noticed since you lost 50lbs? Again congratulations, I'm sure as hell that wasn't easy!!

congrats, but you will gain so much more from doing some exercise than just losing a few pounds. Give it a go, you've really no excuse ( baring an injury you've not divulged )
