Carr egged - removing paint stains

I think this is a detailing issue, but if not, please move to the appropriate forum.

Over the weekend a group of - I'm assuming - teenagers, went around our neighborhood and egged cars. My car got an egg to the driver's side window. It wasn't that bad because it was the one egg and mainly hit the window, but some of it slid down to the door and the paint job. I don't know when it happened exactly. On Saturday I got my oil changed and didn't notice anything. But I didn't go out to my car again until Monday morning and that's when I saw it. It could have been sitting there all of Sunday and I lived in Florida, so it gets hot.

After work today, I took it to the car wash and the guys there got it mostly cleaned up, but there are still a few very faint stains from where it slid down to the door. Is there any hope of getting those off without a new paint job? I could live with it, I guess - it's very faint. I just don't want the daily reminder of how inconsiderate some people can be.

A machine polish will sort it. You might be able to get a result by hand polishing.

You were lucky the impact of the egg was in the window and not the paintwork. Had it hit the paint, it would have left a mark of circular scratches which would have needed a re-paint to fix it!
