Looking at a new steed and the Vitus range on CRC seem to give good bang for buck.

Anyone out there riding one/ tested one and have opinions on it? Currently riding a 2006 Ridley which is starting to flex and creak quite a bit.

    Thanks in advance.

Far from their road bike range, but I got herself to pick up the Vee 1 29'er as a commuter. Build quality is great and it's a really nice, fun ride.

Wouldn't expect much less from their road bikes.

I have a 26" Vee 1 and I love it, great around town, all black matt frame, great fun to cycle and got it for €311 including delivery.

I also recently brought a Vitus Zircon 29er, its a bit on the heavy side, but it held its own around Ticknock, the 29ers are decent shock absorbers ;-P.

Don't an post CRC ride the vitus bikes? So if they're good enough for them you'd expect them to be good enough for the average punter.

CRC own the Vitus brand so that's why. They seem to be decent bikes.

I bought a Venon last year and I love it. Looks cool, good kit on it and a decent price. I went up to get sized and try it out etc. in their Belfast store. Rang them to check they had stock, pretty sure you can head up to their warehouse store anyways.. It's only 20 mins outside of Belfast. They were a sound bunch up there and had a good chat with them. I wanted to bring mine home that day and it took them about an hour to set it up and bring it through their 'quality and safety checks'. Overall a very easy experience and a great bike.

Super store up there. If ever I win the lotto, that's where I'm going.
