I was just looking at his career starts and they are incredible.

He has 5 top 3s in is career and won every time.
He only has 3 other top 10 finishes and his last 4 top 10 finishes ended in victory.

Has there ever been a play so clinical at winning when in contention?

Tiger wins against better players, no disrespect to Hoey

Well I am not trying to actually compare the two players.

I just thought his statistics were very unusual.

Tiger may be number one at the moment but he's not the player he used to be not by a long shot. If Rory could find some form after his poor decision to go with Nike, Woods would soon fall off that spot.
Well done Hoey I must admit I don't know much about him but he's on my radar now.

to say he's not the same player by a long shot is ridiculous.
4 times a winner this season ..... dropped from what, 50th maybe in the world rankings to be a clear clear No. 1 in the world again.
Rory was never in the same league as Tiger, and as it stands, never will be.

Lets not hog the Hoey thread.
I agree he is still a great player but he can't shape the ball like he used to. Your right about Rory not being in the same league he's way better.

Fair play to Michael hoey . Fair enough if he wins slightly weaker tournaments but you still have to win them . He was playing against some up and coming talent and he still beat them
