Hi like to know what people think of these tries these yesterday in the Meath heritage cycle as I have not been out for two weeks and yes I do a lot of cycling I was not really impressed I prefer my continental 4000 s tires I seen people use these and heard good things about them they seemed to stick me to the road felt the other tires were faster better response.Any reviews on there would be helpful.

Did they puncture? Puncture protection (and certainly not ride quality) is what you are paying for with Gatorskins

GP4000s give decent puncture protection and much better ride quality than Gatorskins

No they are new no puncture thanks god just they were very sticky and hard to keep them rolling going back to my old tires.

They do eventually wear in, but they still won't ride as nice as the gp4000s.

They're really more suited to commuting rather than leisure spins and races.

They're designed for puncture protection rather than speed. GP4000s are designed to be faster tyres.

Yeah, i'll second that. Got them on mine when i used to use the bike to commute as they were the best for that, once they wear out i'll try the GP4000's

Are GP4000's foldable or wired? How easy/hard are they to remove? I'm looking for new tyres for my commuter and I'm swaying towards these as long as I dont need fingers like popeye to get them on and off (usually in the dark/wet/snow/cold - Swiss weather)

did 230km on them last week as replacement for my crappy mavics. Feel a huge amount more solid and can't say I noticed much difference in the ride. Roads are pretty poor around here anyway outside of town.
