The Castle in question is not in Tomies Wood.

It is the Castle in the grounds of the Dunloe Castle Hotel. You can walk into the gardens and it is at the end of the garden overlooking the Laune

Enjoy the Gardens, it is a nice walk.

Thank you very much Newman . The castle looked very neat and kept for an abandoned one in woods .The carriage light etc Now i'm sure i do not need glasses.
The Dunloe is ok about you walking around the gardens then ? That might be next weeks Sunday saunter with the pram . Probably a damn sight easier than O'sullivans cascade and the chance of tea an d cake will be higher .
    Cheers
