Grass - just wanna freshen it up!

See photos. I scarifier one side of lawn..pic no 3 .. I threw after cut lawn seed on it and water it daily ( the smaller area) i just want to improve the look of the grass without going to too much expense. Any ideas suggestions appreciated paddy Ps small front garden would like a nice colourful tree ... Maybe grow 10 12…

Ps small front garden would like a nice colourful tree ... Maybe grow 10 12 foot. .. Space an issue something nice to look not a cherry blossom fan ! Ta
