Okay so I have only one question about this section when u completing a form for rent supplement. If there's only my mom and me, does she has to write in this section my and relationship to her? Also adress (which is the same) and earnings? Also we based in Ongar Dublin 15 and she rents an apartament (one front door) with small patio.. They refused her because she exceeds the maximum rent limit (300) (we re paying 650 per month) but when we went down to citizen informations they said that she should get a rent for 525 euro because only SHE IS I shouldn't be included.. What is your opinion ?

Im always confused when I hear "are u living" because for me it means couple. I'm not paying the rent, only she does. It's normal relationship like mom and son.

Yes if you live with her she needs to include you on the form,if you do not live with her then she does not. Live with meaning in the same house/apt.

The Rent Supplement form http://www.welfare.ie/en/pdf/swa_rs1.pdf does not ask who pays the rent - the form asks for the details of all people living in the accommodation. A person under 18 or between 18 and 22 and in full time education would be deemed a dependant child and their details would be filled in at Part 4 of the form. Anyone else resident in the accommodation fills in Part 8 of the form. If they are not a dependent child (i.e., are over the above ages and in receipt of a social welfare payment themselves) they also would be expected to to contribute a minimum of €30 per week towards the rent if Rent Supplement is given.
