I am looking to do a small upgrade, I used to do this all the time but its been a while and cash is tighter these.
Last build i did was with a Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz so needs some upgrading i think. Any help/recommendations would be appreciated.

1. What is your budget? 200 - 300?? (maybe more if really needed)

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? [Gaming/Video editing/3D Modelling/HTPC/Internet] (If gaming include which games)
Gaming, (Skyirm, Tomb raider, Everquest2) ,

VMware Workstation.

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? [Yes/No] No.

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? [Hard drive/DVD Drive/Case/PSU/etc.]

Graphics card - Sapphire 11179-09-20G HD 6870 1GB GDDR5 Graphics Card

I also already have 128G M4, blue ray drive and a 2Tb sata disk.

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? [Keyboard/Mouse/Wireless Card/Card Reader/Speakers/etc.] No.

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? [Yes/No] No

8. How can you pay? [Bank Transfer/Credit Card/Laser] Any

9. When are you purchasing? [In x days] 2 - 3 weeks

So basically I think I need the following
CPU and MB with 16Gb of Ram, but i need to make sure that my current graphics card will fit in new MB.
