    Hi all,

As part of the Corkagh Park Ladies Racing series, we're pleased to announce that we'll be holding a Team Time Trial skills session on Tuesday next. Cycling Ireland coach Paddy Doran will be conducting the session. We'll be covering topics such as team formation and bonding, tactics to race faster for the TTT, how to still be friends with your team mates after the TTT (!) and how to get everyone to get a sense of achievement and contribution to the effort. And most of all, it'll be a fun evening on the bike :)

Please pass along the details to any women in your clubs/family/friends who might be interested in this.

What: skill session for Team Time Trials
Who: women cyclists interested in racing, beginners to experienced; especially those interested in Rás na mBan as this year's race includes a TTT
Where: Cycling Ireland cycling circuit, Corkagh Park map
When: Tuesday, July 30th 2013 at 7pm sharp
    How much: EUR5 (Under 18s EUR2)

It's not necessary to have a TT/tri bike, just a regular road bike. CI basic membership and helmet also needed. You also don't need to attend as part of a team - you'll be grouped together on the night.

These Corkagh park women's events are so well run, I'd encourage anyone interested to go along.

Reminder - TTT skills session in place of the regular Women's Race tomorrow evening. EUR5 (EUR2 for U18), see you there!

What a great idea. There's a general presumption of just "being able" to a lot of stuff like riding in a group, riding up and over, TT'ing etc. But you do need to teach and learn specific skills like that. No more than you'd teach a side-line cut in hurling or a jump-shot in basketball.
The women seem to be much more proactive in these skills sessions than the men. This is definitely the kind of thing I'd go to myself if it was available for lads.

Do you think anyone would notice if pulled a reverse Life of Brian on it and turned up in drag? I could let on to be pregnant :o.
