Havent used them, but I havent heard anything good about them. Along with most private EMT courses. They just seem to want your money, and teach you the bare minimum required for you to pass.

I know the guys there they use some of the highest regarded instructors and tutors around . I have taught on a few EMT courses and have found that some students think just because they hsve paid their money they will get the qualification at the end . Also it is good to go into the course with a decent first aid qualification and actually know your stuff as apposeded to think you know it

I did my EMT with them recently and I found them quite good, no problems explaining things or allowing us use of their facilities both out of course hours and even now that the course is finished!! They provide you with the lectures but at the end of the day how much you study and how many questions you ask will determine how much knowledge youll gain in my opinion. There seemed to be a few people who reckoned studying on there own time wasnt really needed

Did my EFR course with them and was very impressed with the instructor. No complaints.

Did both an EFR and an EMT course with them, passed them both, with help from the fantastic instructors. Always available for help if needed.

If you put in the work youll have no problems . Go in with a good knowledge but with the mindset of not knowing anything and put in the hard work and youll be fine .

As i said its not a gimme course but plenty have gone in thinking they have paid their money so its an automatic pass and have come out the far end bitter and blaming everyone else but themselfs , i taught a segment on an EMT course while half the class giggled and chatted at the back . I interupted the twice . And then just continuded on with the lecture . At the end of the course i was told that the subject hadnt been covered and when i pointed out when it was done and what they where up to , they asked me to go back over it , i said i wasnt wasting my time again and to contact the course director ,

    Adult education kiddies

I dont think thats the right attitude to have either. Regardless of the students attitude if your there to teach your there to teach the content and should be professional IMHO

Did my EMT training with them about two years ago have to say the instructors are top notch any questions I had they answered,There was a few people on the course who were talking while one of the lads was giving a lecture my self personally thought it was a bit rude.
Considering that it is adult education you would think that people would not behave like kids in school,We also got to use the equipment on days that we did not have classes also before the MCQ & Osce we had full day revision courses.
A mate of mine who I see through work on the odd occasion did his with another private provider and said he would not rate them, And that for revision days the students were left in a room to study by them selves with no tutors available to answer questions.
I also had to put in hard work in studying to pass the exams and yes you do get people who think that once they pay up that there going get the qualification.

My previous comment was a bit harsh.

I'm sure they teach just what you need to know at EMT level. But I think that when people go in and start the EMT from fresh, with zero previous first aid experience. They come out with an EMT cert while not fully understanding the entire process.

If you have a good bit of first aid experience, and work for a voluntary organisation then I say it would be a good investment as long as you put in a lot of effort.

But from scratch, I wouldnt recommend it at all. I've seen too many people come out with an EMT cert, realising "oh now I need to join an organisation to keep my licence" and also realising they cant even put on a triangular bandage.

I did teach the content and the course to the highest standard . He choose not to listen on this particular night , i am not going to teach a repeat lecture / lesson again for free ( at my expense if you take petrol and food etc )to someone who chose not to put in the work in the first place and be disruptive , if he had been a hard working and interested student with genuine subject difficulty id have absaloutly no problem helping .

There where instructor feed back forms for each candidate filled out after each lecture session . My notes on his behaviour during this lesson where noted and returned to the course director on the night . So when he contacted the course director his lack attention on the evening was brought to his attention .

Not getting into differing on opinions on the right or wrong way to teach or train, each to their own.

However, to answer the OPs question the proofs in the pudding and the results speak for themselves the ESTI have highest failure rate amongst the private training companies, see link below for all statistics

Well you used your opinion to state that what i was doing was wrong in your opinion ...... For the particular organisation i was then working for all additional classes had to be pre approved and sanctioned by the course director .

All courses are taught to a PHECC standard .

What i will say for the statistics there is a limited pool of EMT /PHECC tutors out there at the moment . Most tutors dont teach exclusivly for one organiseation . Some teach as i do for both paid and voultary organiseations . A good back ground knowledge and experience in first aid will stand you good steed going forward .

For some of the private candidates that i have seen going forward .
1)Some have no first aid courses complete prior to coming in ,
2)Others are more concerened about bigging themselfs up about incidents they where supposidly at than participating
    3) others who have come in from voultary org's have been refused EMT courses as they have been deemed unsuitable or unready for their organisations
    4) attitude towards study and course count (just because you paid for it doesnt mean your going to get a cert

Whilst it seems im defendin ESTI i dont work for them but have similar problems for the organisations i do teach for
