Fashions that will never return to the streets of Ireland

I'm constantly amazed by some fashions which re-appear years, sometimes decades after they went out. Witness the bizarre trend a few years back of lads aged 12-17 having what basically amounted to Limahl's haircut, and others with the 'flat at front and sides, inexplicably spiked at the part of the head where a Jew wear the cap in the synagogue' look the resurfaced about 5 years ago. Recently I've noticed some elements of grunge returning, messy dyed hair, plaid shirts (not worn in a hipster style), even ripped jeans on occasion.

So is there anything so beyond the pale it will never come back? Could Dave Hill's fringe be popular amongst scumbags in the summer of 2015? Could an ironic early 80s hip-hop revival lead to the people of Limerick en masse cultivating Jheri curls?

Those track suit bottoms with the buttons down the side that could be ripped off. Had to be the stupidest things ever. Did anyone ever wear them and manage to keep them in one piece?

The more naff the fashion, the more likely it will eventually come back.

Shell suits, oh wait, sorry...half of Dublin still wear them.

Plaid baseball caps, ooops sorry forgot about the dubs again.

To answer the OP, there are probably loads of things that will never come back into fashion but that won't stop scummers wearing them.

Not really stupidest thing ever. Designed for basketball to warm up in and then when it comes to the game you rip them off. To wear them out and about would be highly stupid. Used to wear them to basketball games when I was a kid.

Those massively baggy arsed trousers (mc hammer type)

The gloves that were connected to each other with a string (dangerous toddler fashion)

Batwing, shoulder padded, faux silk blouses.

    Expendable income.

Graduated bobs. (They sound connected but they're not)

wouldn't mind seeing some of the American 60's look coming back here as opposed to the Irish 60's look (think your grandad in a suit with a jumper underneath and cyap"

Ahh I had those, what was my 12 year old self thinking...

Luckily the buttons only ripped up to my kness, so I wasn't there in my boxers if someone tried ripping them.

Bad, bad choice. Didn't wear those for long.

    **** sake kid.
