Morning After Pill

    Hi,
Basically I'm just looking for some friendly advice on my situation.
The other night I had unprotected sex (stupidly) but my boyfriend did pull out about 10 minutes before he came. I know its not 100% safe but how safe do you reckon it is? I'm not on the pill either.
I know they reckon your best chances of getting pregnant are within 2-3 days of ovulation. According to the period tracker app I have on my phone my last fertile day was 6 days before I had sex & ovulation was a week before. My next period is due in 5 days.
Also, the morning after pill. I asked a friend about this & they said it contains progesterone to prevent you releasing an egg but if I've already ovulated haven't I already released an egg? What is the situation with this in Ireland? Can you just go into the pharmacy & ask for it over the counter? & how much does it cost?
    I am also over 18!

    All answers greatly appreciated!

Nobody can give you a professional advice here but all I can tell is that it is effective up to 72hrs after having unprotected sex and the earlier you can take it the better.
You can get it in every pharmacy over the counter but first the pharmacist will take you for the consultation to the separate room and fill out a form with you. This is the time when you can ask her all the questions you have.
    It's not expensive, around €20.

The MAP will also stop implantation if an egg has been released.

How long does the consultation last? I am useless in this field altogether, this is the first time I've had to do anything like this so it's quite daunting. Sorry for all the questions!
