    Short and sweet

Galway Plate - Carlito Brigante 25's will disappear very fast
Galway Hurdle - Pique Sous/Thomas Edison (already at 16's, can only imagine the reason hes this price is because a shed load of money must have come for him)

Hissabaat has a big handicap in him this year, 20/1 for the plate not sure if it will be next week but will be sick if he won and i wasn't on. Maybe the 2 mile at Leopardstown Stephen's Day

Rebel Fitz is out(running in the novice chase on Thursday instead) Hidden Cyclone also a likely non runner. Rathlin will be top weight.

I think Hisaabaat has just gone shit.

Hanlon said Hidden Cyclone won't run on fast ground or off top weight

What do people think about Drive Time for the hurdle? He seems to win every time he doesn't fall.

Was on ATR yesterday. Said 99% going for the alternative chase worth 60k the day before I think over the same distance.

    At Galway presumably?

Very confident Mossey Joe lands the Galway Plate. 148 is 4lb below the best mark I think he'd get. Will take the world of beating.

So he's contradicted at least half of what he said!

    Cheers

I'm on mossey joe for the plate, was very impressive in the foxhunter champion hunters chase and think he has a great chance.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 145 ✭✭Dubron

Mossey Joe will be doubled up with Hisaabaat for me as soon as I can get some NRNB.

I wonder about hisabaat I thought Cheltenham would be his day but didn't really have much luck in running. I'd be in the same boat as Johner suggesting he's just gone sh*t. Doesn't sting have connections in welds yard and said they were expecting him to be a champion hurdle contender numerous times but just looked like he was burnt in every race last season!

I think Shadow Eile has a good chance of landing the Galway Hurdle. Has won 3 times at the track and has some classy hurdles form to her name. Her last two runs haven't been very inspiring but if she regains form I think she'll run a big race. Worth a shot at 25/1

Dr. Lambe has got rid of Hisaabaat now as well. Not sure who bought it.

Dominick Glennane, also owns Stuccodor who's won 3 or 4 races this season for Weld already. Wouldn't be surprised to see Flaxen Flare run a big race in the Hurdle either, had a spin on the flat last week to get ready for this.

Lads is Habesh entered anywhere, will have a big pay day thanks to him this season if he settles

In a fairly poor looking handicap hurdle on Monday.

I'd say that if anything confirms our position. He'd hardly sell him on the cusp of winning the Galway hurdle

Had to post this as I got a few winners from you guys a month or 2 back. (especially Rosom)

Just to note I am a very casual horse racing fan and quite new to it.

Anyway, a friend works for a building materials supplier company and a certain trainer was in there during the week.
They pushed him for tips for Galway and got a few.
Is it ok to post them here , do I need to mention the trainers name etc..

Sorry for the questions but I don't post in horse racing very often :)

    Cheers.

Just stick up the horses names. If they all lose, I hope the nails & timber the trainer bought all wither away & the Garden Shed he's throwing together gets blown apart with the first gale this winter :)

9/10 winners of the Galway plate ran on a mark between (122-138)

Thank for sharing. These are all Willie Mullins horses? Was this guy connected to anyone or just a randomer or is he SRFC?

Damien Skehan is set to ride Mossey Joe, is he allowed claim the full 7 pounds or what's the story with conditionals for the plate/hurdle?

Both handicaps so yes he is allowed to claim his full allowance as far as I know!

Virtually every stat in the book is against Mossey. My confidence hasn't wained in the slightest.

Wouldn't surprise me if Mossey destroys the field. He is that good.

He said it was the trainer himself that was in, Willie must have been doing some DIY in the good weather.

Only the hurdle & plate are priced up in the shops but the declarations for Monday are in today's racing post. Keep an eye on the shops over the next few days, they will have the more prominent races priced up. The betting on the smaller flat/hurdles races will only be available the night before.

Hold those ante post Mossey Joe bets, Galway is due to see an awful lot of rain between now and Wednesday so it's very possible he wont run.

Supreme Ballerina Running This evening at wexford 4/5.

Mullins' thoughts; "Supreme Bailerina (Patrick) goes for the mares winners bumper over 2 miles. She was impressive when winning easily on her debut at Limerick three weeks ago. That was over 2m 4f but we don’t think the drop back in trip today will inconvenience her. She will like the ground and the track and must have every chance of following up here."

According to IrishRacingTrends on Twitter Mossy Joe is a doubtful runner due to an ownership dispute!!

I'll be ****ing disgusted if Mossey doesn't run because of an owners dispute, and not even for the sake of my bet going down the drain. At 10 years of age, this is probably his last year where he will be at his best and if his owners are too selfish to put aside their money differences and allow him to compete for a price which his talents so richly deserve then I will be absolutely gutted for the horse. In a different set of colours for a different trainer Mossey Joe would have achieved a whole lot more in his career and for a petty family argument to deprive him of competing for a prize he so richly deserves its totally unfair on the horse.

Yep Mossey Joe's career has been seriously fucked up. The way he was switched between hurdles and fences was absolutely mind boggling and then turned into a hunter chaser. I know he had his problems with injuries but this horse had to the talent to be competitive at grade one level if trained and managed properly. It's a shame really.
