Students grant income limit 2013/2014

    I was hoping to do a Fas course and apply for college the following year i will receive 160 euro a week for 40 weeks which adds up to 6400 for the year will i be over the limit ? my parents income is extremely low mum works part time and dad is claiming job seekers allowance all information greatly accepted :) .

    It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

    Your FAS income will not be taken into account as you will no longer be on that course when you enter college. Your parents' income will def be under the limit for the ordinary grant plus the college redg fee. If your dad is long term on Jobseekers and if their combined income is under 22,700 for the year prior to entering college, you should be entitled to a top up grant also.
