    Howdy,

I'm not much good on the below as I'm not married and don't have kids thank god but... herself's parents are looking for a place to bring the two grandchildren... was wondering could anyone recommend anywhere?

Preferably in some sort of a grounds of a hotel in a self-catering house/lodge and with access to a pool and play area/other activities for the smallies (8 and 9)

We've been looking at places like Brittas Bay and others within driving distance of Dublin. Doesn't necessarily have to be that side of the country though. Kenmare seems alright too.

    They were in Tramore/Trabolgan/Faithlegg/Oranmore before.

The grandparents are based in south Limerick and don't tend to drive too far so kind of 3hrs max really.

Anyway, thanks in advance for the help :)

    LB

First thing that came into my head was Trabolgan; http://www.trabolgan.com/top-menu/special-offers.aspx

They do a kids camp for 8-17 year olds.

edit; I see you ninja-edited the post a tad...!

Yeah I asked her where they had been the last few trips.

They're thinking Banna in Tralee at the moment, meant to be good?

Would you think about Killarney? We stayed at the Gleneagle Riverside apartments, which are adjacent to the hotel. Best apartments I've ever stayed in, so clean and well-kept. Loads for kids to do in the area and the pool is great for rainy days
