Need info on these antique tea pots...

The harrods one interests me big time... it seems like a genuine london harrods tea pot...

Need info on rough estimates before they go up on ebay..

Could do with a pic of the actual teapot but I wouldn't think it would have great value - there's few enough of us that collect hotel type stuff. I don't think there's even a title for the genre - Hoteliana? :)

The Nevada Silver is EPNS and not particulary valuable see similar spoons on eBay here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4x-ANTIQUE-NEVADA-SILVER-D-A-6-75-TABLE-FORKS-FIDDLE-SHAPE-EPNS-DANIEL-ARTER-/190861084151

As for the jug, it looks very 'polished' - have you been cleaning it with something abrasive?

I don't know, I'd stick the jug on at 15 sterling and see if there's any interest. The other cutlery you need to look through eBay but it's not going to be worth much as it's EPNS - ie no scrap value. The goblets look religious - not my field - but I've given similar stuff to charity shops. Sorry not to be more optimistic but maybe somebody else will be along with some ideas. :)

'Nevada Silver' was a brand used by the firm of Daniel & Arter in Birmingham, the firm closed in 1930.

Could be this crowd but as a catering item I doubt it would have any collectible value since the primary design requirement in catering equipment is durability rather than aesthetics.....

i checked that out and it is harrods of london... there is a tea pot on ebay from harrods and its selling on ebay for 600...

There also a tea biscuit tin that i have also which is selling for 30 euro from harrods...

I might polish them up and bring all of them down to local auction house to get them looked at...

Meaning that's the asking price and I bet it's not a heavily scrubbed catering pot.

Harrods is an upmarket department store, they have massive markups on fancy items because almost everything they sell is 'exclusive' to Harrods so they can charge what they please but I frankly doubt that anything ever bought there turns up as a high value collectible at auction.

Liberty, maybe. Harrods not a chance. Most of what they sell is grossly overpriced tat.

Honestly, I would do any more cleaning - it will do nothing to increase their value and may have the opposite effect. Try them on eBay with a reserve. Don't waste your time bringing them to your local auctioneer, as that type of ephemera wouldn't be the sort of thing they'd be clued up on.

I haven't done any cleaning, I want to brighten them up that's all, there has to be some good method...
