I have the quad x 13.5 Hp wild cut ... I find it excellent and its lovely for me but my heavy rushes are long gone... It's designed for grass ... If you will have heavy rushes you need the flail mower... Same principle as hedge cutter ...

I have cut heavy rushes but it takes ages and you need to do the usual raise her up and not take in the full sward.

Look at the quad x videos and/or YouTube and keep an eye on eBay
