No nothing .... yet. Sooner the rain comes and the second cut is taken the better!!

Only reason I'm not is because I'm letting the cows graze the 2nd cut at the minute, saving myself the hassle of bringing it into the pit then putting it back out in front of them, main grazing block has an average cover of about 350kg/ha on it, almost no regrowth at all, maybe 5kg/ha/day. Most the neighbours are all feeding silage by now. In terms of grass, things worse now than they were for most the spring! But hopefully just one of them 1 in 10year weather patterns, have to take it on the chin and hope for a lovely late indian summer with the cows out grazing until dec 1st!

Yes, round feeder in the yard at night. Silage & a few banana shaped square hay bales.

instead of baling a couple of weeks ago i built up covers, this is standing to me now as growth has declined.

3 bales a day been fed in paddocks along by fence, mopping every bit of it up,I'd love a few 'nice soft days'.if we get them I could pull out bales at end of week.feeding about 8 kg grass 5 kg of hi maize blend and 4 kg of top quality wraps .yields holding up very well though .still the good side of 26 Ltrs.no fat or protein results since silage went in
