Decent printer for reasonable price?

Hi folks

Kind of addicted to these threads

I wonder has anyone seen or spotted any deals on decent printers for reasonable prices lately? Just for printing the odd bits and bobs,boarding passes, etc etc. Looking for something that won't cost the earth to run and ink cartridges that are easily available.

my personal favorite is mono laser printer hp P1102 (or P1102w with wireless printing)

toner is as cheap as paper (under €13 for one that covers up to 1600 pages, ebay, delivered) and you won't have to deal with any partially blocked or not working printing heads etc.

the downside is that it is a bit hard to find in decent price, but if you shop around you can get it fairly cheap

color ink jet printers are only good if you really have to have colors, ink is either expensive or poor quality, it wont last long even if you don't use it and can stop working without a warning if oem inks are used

Just after ordering that printer from amazon. Do you get your toners from amazon too? And are they as good as the original?

or is it easy to get not name brand ink

stick with hp Epsom or maybe canon printers in pc world looked cheap

but check cost ink price of ink can cost nearly price of printer
