I've only been driving for about 6 months now but I bought a Clio a couple of months ago. Mines a 2003 and has been running perfect since I got it. Very easy to drive and manover etc. Also not too bad on petrol at all, getting 30 MPG and thats even with me over revving all the time when trying to set off haha. I hear Clios have problems with electrics but a friend of mine has a 2000 Clio for 7 years now and still now problems. Overall id recommend one based on my experience anyway :)

Im pretty much in the same boat as above no problems, electrics are a pain but no major problems its common in them, bulbs going, fog light indicator on dashboard lighting up when breaking/indicating. Although I get over 41 mpg and thats climbing as I improve my driving style
Everyone I know who has had one says they are built to last and nice to drive.
