Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Looks like an Ichneumon fly to me (not an expert), you might have better luck posting it in the Nature and bird watching forum

    Certainly an Ichneumon Wasp, 100s of different kinds in Ireland. Most of them cannot be told apart, but this one is more distinctive than most, so ID may be possible from the colour pattern, but I've no idea.
