Friend is getting married and can't think of what music to play when the coming in for the meal. Anyone got some memories of good songs to enter to you.

If they're into sport I know people who would have had The Sunday Game/Match of the Day etc theme tune.

Similarly you could go with music from a film.

I also like My First, My Last, My Everything.

bear in mind its 20 seconds to get from door to table. mostly on a really not great hotel tannoy system. It never has the effect people think it will so dont worry too much about it too much.

I gotta feeling is the most popular.

Although I always suggest to couples to put on any top current dance tune to get the place rockin a bit before they walk in.

Please god dont go for the "tonights going to be a good nite", its done to death at this stage.

Pick something lively but ideally with a good 30 second section which you will walk into and make sure the song is edited correctly, not just press play at the start of the song.

    My favourites are;
Queen - You're My Best Friend
Stevie Wonder - Signed, Sealed and Delivered
Stevie Wonder - For Once in my life
Katrina & The Waves - Walking on Sunshine
Queen - Crazy Little Thing Called Love
Florence And The Machine - You've Got The Love

Loads more, just cant remember them all.

You could get someone to do a cool 40 second mix with professional sounding voice over included introducing the bride & groom etc.. that would be very class, just be sure the venue has a good sound system in the reception room as clint_silver mentioned above

This isn't a helpful post, I admit, bu what ever happened to just having the guests clapping and cheering when the Bride and Groom enter the room? When did entrance music become a thing?

My cousin is a big Celtic fan and he had "Just Can't Get Enough" for his entrance music. The worst thing was it took 10 seconds for them to get to their table but the song went on for about 2 minutes. It got very awkward as at first people saw they funny side of the song, then clapped along for a bit, but then they just really wanted to sit down and get on with the meal but the song kept going and going and going! :D

Don't use any music. It's tacky and predictable and no one really likes a blast of music before dinner. Just walk into applause.

Really depends on the crowd, but some wedding entrances are as dull as hell and at least the music will drown out a lacklustre applause. Also if the speeches are first, it can get the crowd into a good mood.

All My Life - K-Ci & Jo Jo.

    I Choose You - Paris.

Or you can have the whole room hustle to 'Candy' by Cameo!! :D

Isnt that more of a slow first dance?

cant see the first 20-30 seconds of that being any sort of entrance music as couples walk to their table for dinner.

Faster songs tend to work better for this piece of the day.

    Opinionable of course.

    I'd recommend either of these:

...but its worth noting that my wife wouldn't let me use either. We walked in to applause.

I had a Bride & Groom walk into this about 3 years ago, I though it was excellent, but was kind of lost on the crowd.

I was at a wedding which used it too (maybe we were at the same one!) and it died a bit of a death as it sounded very funereal over the loudspeakers.

Again, I think applause is the way to go. I've noticed fewer couples doing the big bridesmaids, best men, couple entrance hooha recently, the couple just walk into applause and I much prefer it. It's what we did ourselves.
