Legendary Boards Posts!

We have a list of legendary boards threads and it got me thinking what, for you, were legendary Boards posts. Posts that you'll never forget and still get a good chuckle when you think back to them!

I'll get things started with 2 of my personal favourites...

Last summer an Irish kid signed for Barcelona FC. A thread was started in the soccer forum and one user posted a picture of the child in a Barca kit. It wasnt long until the guy who owned the copyright appeared in the thread threatening to sue Boards and the member who posted the image. But that buzzkill was quickly left red faced when JaMarcus Hustle posted the following:
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=79761870
Maybe you needed to follow the entire thread but I just thought it was an epic response!

Secondly is the story of a man by the name of RoscommonTom. Tom wanted to cook soup one evening. Unfortunately he left the kitchen for a few minutes and it boiled over, ruining the top of the cooker. It needed to be cleaned and Tom needed help! So he went to the one place he thought best to ask a cooking/cleaning/kitchen related question... http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=82305805

Im sure there is better than my 2 examples, but like I said I still get a good little laugh whenever I think of either!

So what other legendary boards posts would you like to add?

How is PC Photo not banned?

Isn't there a rule were if you threaten to sue someone on boards, its perma-ban?

EDIT: I love the second link. Lol

There was a thread about a guy and his friend called haircut boy who found a safe concreted into his shed in a house he was just after buying... No key .... The antics he hit up to to get the safe open . ... The advice from boardsies plus the added anticipation of what was in the safe..... Was hooked on the thread for a week or so ...... Poster even got banned just when the climax was coming......And then the finale ........ God I enjoyed that thread every post within it cracked me up

    The first one yes. Epic

The second one was one of the worst examples of "look at me, I'm a Nobody trying to be cool and important" how he was not perma banned I will never know. Spanner

There was a second one? I think I remember it vaguely..

I think this post by Mr. Incognito in the first safe thread could be a legendary post

Yeh, there was a second one, and like most sequels it was a poor rip off of the original and sucked big wadds.

Yeah but that was an epic thread. Brilliant because of all the posts from the OP and replies from boardies. What I was looking for in this thread was posts which on their own were hilarious!

Forgot about that one by Pighead. Excellent response by him!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 349 ✭✭apollo8

The recent one about the dole that nobody wanted.
The mod changed the title as if it was about jam,
Much piss taking and a very unhappy OP:)

Denise needs to send a text to her Mom, but has no credit.

Denise searches for 'free webtexts', Google sends her to Boards, she duely registers and sends her post/text.

Denise is still waiting for her Mom to reply

I remember a poster who posted up a story about how he and two male friends were all asleep in the same room after a night out and he woke up to hear the two friends shagging each other. Spawned a great thread too

Quit linking to private forums. It's cruel, you're expecting something really funny, your expectations build up and then it tells you that you're not allowed to see it :(

As you're the moderator of Spell Czechs, I demand that you grant me access to your forum as a compensation for the emotional turmoil you have caused me :(

    It's worth a try..
