Guitarist looking for musicians to jam/form a band

    Hi there, I'm a guitarist, residing in Dublin, and I'm looking for musicians who are open-minded and receptive. I'm not seeking anything particular, at the moment I just want to get a group of musicians with somewhat similar musical preferences together, and see where the music will take us. Ideally it would be something among the lines of alternative/stoner/prog, with long jam interludes and unorthodox approach to song structure.

    My main influences are : Sonic Youth, Kyuss, Alice In Chains, Baroness, QOTSA, MBV, Mastodon, Radiohead, King Crimson, The Mars Volta, Voivod, etc

    How's it going, made a post a while back trying to get an originals band going, also very open minded and just trying out a few different people for the moment, maybe jamming with us would interest you? :)

    "Looking for a couple of guitarists to jam for a new originals band. Bassist, drummer and lead vox sorted! High energy rock sound wanted, lots of influences, Vocalist going for letlive. and Clutch sounds, bassist into The Vines, DFA 1979, drummer into Zeppelin and Rory Gallagher to summarise. Very open!

    Shoot a PM to me if you wanna jam, would love a rhythm guitar with vox as well, and a creative lead guitarist who can hold their own.

    Looking for people aged 18-22ish, no gender restriction, who are open to putting influences together, and a good aptitude for social networking would be brilliant too, as that seems to be just as important as any talent these days!

    We've got our own rehearsal space in Maynooth, so that would be the main port of call for practicing.
