Any way to make espresso without machine?

Hey, so my friend had bag of espresso beans lying around, he gave it to me, I never drink dis-solvable coffee as it tastes crap and bland, usually the one that has grains leftover (even though there is more hassle with it), usually I just drop some grains into cup and fill it with boiling water, add milk and it's more or less tasty enough. I always buy bag of beans for standard coffee and use small thing that makes beans into grain. So I was wondering is it same with espresso? or is the people saying "only high pressure" right? no other way?

Any solution to this? how could I use this bag of espresso beans?

Those little Italian things that go on top if your cooker.

PS buy some filter paper for your normal coffees.

Seconded, they're called "moka pots" (or stovetop espresso machines in yank-lish) you can buy them in a few Italian delis around town, the homeware shop outside Steven's Green shopping centre at the corner around H&M sells them and I even saw one for sale in Costa in Navan of all places. Try adverts.ie too or ebay etc.

OP you want the grind of your beans to be finer than for a french press but coarser than for an espresso machine. Basically grind them the same as you would normally for your current cup of coffee and then grind a wee bit more.

Short answer: No, you need to buy an espresso machine for espresso.

Alternative for espresso-like beverage is to look at an aeropress or moka pot.

Yeah, Moka pots are the way to go!

I just bought one myself today from Costa in Waterford. A nice little 'Bialetti Moka Express'. The lovely girl behind the counter also gave me her staff discount so I got it for €12.50 instead of the €25 :D
