I don't disbelieve this man - but he must be the last man in Ireland in this situation, or not far off it

Pat Rabbitte is a bit of an ersehole, to be honest.

I think this lad and his mate are what marketing people call "laggards" He probably wrote a letter to the Irish times complaining about phone box removals

There was nothing wrong with cleft-stick post. Phone boxes were the instruments of the devil.

Pretty tough going, but I know that if I had a special needs kid I'd seriously contemplate having another one, never mind another 3, in order to manage.

Pretty tough topic alright and it's pretty much put a stop to this thread also

As grandparents of an autistic little girl, I know that often the symptoms dont show up till the child is maybe three years old. So lots of people have no idea that another child is going to put even more strain on them

Probably because the topic comes up far too often, which is a reflection of shame on our government and everything that has to be said has been said before. Time and time again.

I thought that the TV licence also covered the cost of public service broadcasting on radio as well?

If the pictures are that good on the radio I'd love to hear her description of Miley Cyrus' little routine at the VMA awards the other night. :pac:

i would like to hear the full story i.e. is the child's father in the picture, what does he work at etc. if they can afford transport for their child then it is not am issue. she mentioned manicuring a few things in order to manage and it would be interesting to know what she means i. e does she have sky t.v.

Yes it does. Thats the point of the new broadcasting charge, so people can't get around not getting a TV license by not having a physical TV but watching RTE on iPads and things.

"Its not so much the monetary cost....."

I hope her insurance company didn't hear her say that.
