I currently have a 4 year old SKY+ Box. I am in the process of buying a second-hand SKY+HD Box - mainly so that I can access the "On Demand" content.

I have a lot of tv programmes already recorded onto my old SKY box. I'm wondering if I'll still be able to access this once I have paired my card to my new SKY+HD box? Or will the old box no longer recognise my card?

    Any advice appreciated. :)

When you switch to the new box, you will have to pair.
Old box will then not work with your card.

    +1 ..

As dobsdave says...Once you pair the card with the new box,,you won't be able to access the recordings on your old box anymore.

switched to one of those 2TB boxes and everything from older box gets lost, including your series links etc. not ideal but what can you do!
