Apps can't find sdcard

For some reason a lot of my apps are all of a sudden unable to locate my sd card.
I've tried 4 music apps and only one (google play) finds the sdcard with my music and none of them find the album art on the same card. The Gallery no longer knows where to find it. ES File explorer has no trouble finding it. I haven't done anything since yesteday apart from add a couple of albums to the card.

The sdcard is mounted at /mnt/sdcard2 (/mnt/sdcard being the internal partition on my Huawei Ascend G300).

I can't figure out why these apps have suddenly forgotten where it is or if I can create a simlink or something?

Sometimes, it is reported, the G300 loses info regarding the default storage??

Are you using a custom, like Stock+, with Link2Int?

This uses the Internal 2GB SD, which would not be used with any custom rom, as app storage solely.....but you must have the external SD as default, for all other stuff.

    Link2Int add-on

    Stock+ ROM

You should probably re-boot, and check what you use as normal, default storage, in Settings somewhere, not got the phone now, but it's there.

Also, Link2Int is really just Link2SD modified, so it must be there too, if you are using Link2Int.....or Stock+, if you use that add-on.

that's all I know, the wife won't give me the phone to mess with anymore :D

Yep, using Stock+ and Link2Int and when I checked the default storage location had moved to Internal Storage (probably when I took out the SD card at some stage).

I switched it back and now and I can see my music, photos etc. mounted on /mnt/sdcard now after rebooting. It took a while for the apps to start finding the files again but it looks good now. Thanks a million.

I'm so sick of this damn phone. Today it decided once again that the SD card was empty, which it clearly isn't. After endless dicking about with pulling and replacing the card and rebooting and fiddling with the settings I put the card in the PC and looked at the files - all present and correct. As soon as I put it back in the phone it recognised the card and I can see the files through the file manager but yet again the music apps won't see any available tracks.
