Has anyone ever seen one? Do they exist? Just wondering as I've only ever had lessons and the driving test with men. Seems a bit odd as they claim to be better drivers so you'd think they'd want to share this knowledge and skill of theirs with others. :D

I've seen a number of women instructors locally to me(Dublin). Dunno about testers mind you as I did my test when there was a horse out front.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

The most well known instructor in my area is a woman, everyone who drives has a story about her, she is infamous for using Corporal punishment to break habits. For instance my uncle used to have a habit of leaving his hand on the gear stick, she used to rap her knuckles off his. She has also been known to puck people in the arms and legs again to break habits. She is supposed to have a serious pass rate and is about 150 years old at this stage.

Had a female one originally when I was just gone 17, not very good
Switched to a grumpy aul fella, no better
Gave up a few years then found an amazing instructor and passed easily enough with her

If I got in a car with a woman, I'd piss myself with fear.

She would too, presumably, because I can't drive at all :pac:

Sounds exactly like the 150 year old women who got me through mine. I recall she won the women's RAC rally in 1959 or so.

She had a policy of 6 lessons and you pass or I don't teach you anymore.

Woman had about a 90% pass rate; an utter legend.

I passed my truck driving test with a woman tester four years ago.

A lad at work also had her for a test and passed.

I have a female instructor she was recommended to me from my aunties and my cousin she taught all of them. She's really good.

We... do? Surely most normal, intelligent people would simply think there are mostly competent drivers and a few bad drivers, whatever the gender.

Anyway, a driving test I did was by a female examiner, who failed me.

They need a male apprentice to parallel park though.

Why the hate towards women here? Pretty sad misogyny tbh! I've always learnt more things from women than from men and around 90% of my teachers were women and I can even remember studying extra hard just to impress a hot teacher in secondary school. For some bizarre reason I pay far more attention to a woman instructor.

I learn't to drive from my father (I also learned several new and and exclusive swear words in the process!!) and took a few instructor lessons before passing the test with a male tester too.

I'm seeing jokes and a smaller number of comments designed just to get a reaction, but hate/misogyny... not seeing it at all in fairness.
Studying harder at school to impress a hot teacher though - you feminist you. :pac:

Had about 6 lessons with a female instructor about 13 years ago. Passed first time so she must have done something right.

There are plenty of female instructors in Dublin. I think at least two of the testers in the Finglas test centre are female.

My first tester was a woman and she was really good looking.

I spent so much time looking at her legs i went the wrong way twice.
