Paid full prescription price. Can I claim back (medical card holder)?

Hi, I had to pay full prescription price yesterday as I attended an eye clinic and because the prescription was not given to me by my own doctor, I had to pay full price. I have a medical card and am wondering is there a way to claim this back, and if so how? Thank you in advance.

Hi,

I doubt you can claim anything back from hse, but if you got the prescription filled in your local pharmacy maybe you could ask them if they would refund you the cost if you can get a prescription from your own doctor to cover the items.
