wonder if someone can advise me. I sent in my btea form at the start of July, I hadnt got a confirmation letter from college or cao at that stage, only told I was accepted on tcd website. I have since received the cao acceptance, will I bring that down to the social welfare and put it with the btea form, or do I now wait until I register on the course! Very confused as to what to do, tried asking in social Office but were no help!

Wait till you register on the course. You can't get BTEA until you are a registered student, so the second you register, go to your department office, have them do you up a letter which includes your start date and hand it into SW. I'd advise you also make it very clear to SW if you are going to miss a sign-on date while attending, as if they have not fully processed your BTEA claim, they assume you didn't show up rather than check that you're not attending college or something :P

Make sure as well to apply for a SUSI grant to pay your fees

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
