Hi, has anybody here got an international driving licence? Is it just a matter of filling out the form and paying the fee? Or do you have to do a test? Thanks

Fill out a form and pay the fee. Its takes around 5 minutes if you call into the AA office.

It's completely useless unless accompanied by a national driving licence and is typically only needed when you need to hire a car in a non-English speaking country.

TBH it's a money making racket from which the AA makes lots of money for doing sod all except transcribing your details from one document to another.
