Hi, has anybody here got an international driving licence?
Is it just a matter of filling out the form and paying the fee?
Or do you have to do a test?
    Thanks

Fill out a form and pay the fee. Its takes around 5 minutes if you call into the AA office.

It's completely useless unless accompanied by a national driving licence and is typically only needed when you need to hire a car in a non-English speaking country.

TBH it's a money making racket from which the AA makes lots of money for doing sod all except transcribing your details from one document to another.

Hijacking the thread slightly, but I'm assuming, based on what I saw above, I dont need one for the states? Heading to Florida in 5 weeks!

You don't need it for Florida.
