(A)Find the resultant R in magnitude and direction of two forces A and B acting at the origin. A is of magnitude 40N at 11.5 degrees with the positive X-axis and B is of magnitude 12N along the positive X-axis. Find the X and Y components of the resultant and express them as i and j components.

    (B) A uniform ladder of mass 46kg and 3.0m in length is leaning against a frictionless vertical wall at an incline of 60 degrees to the horizontal. A window cleaner of mass 67.3kg climbs up the ladder. What coefficient of friction between the ladder and ground is required so that he can climb to the top of the ladder safely?

This forum doesn't exist to do your homework for you.

You'll get a better response if you tell us what you already understand of the concepts involved, what you have tried already, what answers you got, and where you think you might have gone wrong.

Then, you'll probably find a person who will point you in the right direction.

I didn't even look to see if I could!

As I said; I'm not here to do your homework for you.
