You'll go through US immigration in Las Vegas.

You only pre clear US Customs & Immigration in Ireland, if you are on a direct, non stop flight from Ireland to the US. If you are flying to the UK first, you are not doing that, so you'll clear immigration when you get to the US.

Precisely, Ireland is almost unique in the world, and the only European country where you can pre-clear US Customs & Immigration. You can only do so if flying direct to the US from Ireland.

    Immigration in Vegas for you!

    Immigration in Vegas for you!

Make sure to bring loads of U.S. coins with you so you can play the slots while in the immigration queue at Las Vegas airport.

Just kidding of course, but one can dream ;)

It doesn't work like that, the immigration guy rolls the dice, and you win or lose.

In the days before mobile phones, you needed loads of US coins just to phone home from a US airport!
