    Hi,

Im a sole trader and at present I can apply for a Medical card based on my income levels, my question is this.

What happens if i get the card next week, but my income suddenly increases over the coming months, can you hold onto (for how long) it? or do you have to update the department with your income very month?

    Regards,
    Sally

A card is usually valid for a year, but I think their is an obligation on the card holder to nofify the hse of any change in circumstances.
