According to my local wholesalers - when dimming Philips 4 watt LED bulbs u need to use what there equivalent wattage is 35 watts when calculating how many can be used on a dimmer.
    On a 250 watt dimmer u can only use 7 X 4watt led bulbs.

    Is this information correct?

There are plently of electronic dimmers that can dim 100w of led. On wire wound he may be correct but it seems exessive to me.
