Hi guys,

Myself and my fiance have just got engaged and are very new to all of this! We plan to head off ring shopping tomorrow and were just wondering as to whether anyone has used voltaire diamonds and if so how long it really takes from them to get your ring? any help or advice would be great!

Hi there,

I got my engagement ring from Voltaire last year. Mine took a little longer, 5-6 weeks but it was so worth the wait. We spend two days ring hunting in Dublin before going in to Voltaire (their suggestion, they said we'd do better having a good look and coming to them with an idea of what we wanted). In another jewellers we found a ring that we adored but we wanted one small change to it. We arrived at Voltaires and described the ring we'd seen, they were able to produce the very same ring, then we told them the adjustment we wanted and again they were able to produce one they already had that had that exact adjustment. We were delighted with it... then the produced a ton of rings that followed a similar idea to the one we had chosen and at least 5 of them were even nicer again than the one we thought we wanted. It just goes to show how big a selection they have! They could have resized the ring I chose to fit and I would have had it much sooner, but we needed it in such a small size we decided to wait and have them make one from scratch.

At the moment they are working on our wedding rings, mine is simple and straight forward and was still a better price than any of the other jewellers we went to. My hubby 2 be is complicated as he has quite a specific image in his head of what he wants and Voltaire are designing it for him. They have made two versions of the ring so far, with slight differences in each one (both have been great and much, much closer to anything we'd found else where before going to Voltaire) and we're just waiting now on the final version as hubby 2 be still wanted some minor adjustments.

I'd definitely recommend making an appointment with them, but do what we did... visit other places, try on lots of rings and get an idea on what price you'd be looking at in other jewellers before popping in to them. It really helped us get narrow down what we wanted

I got my ring through Voltaire last year and I just adore it..Seamus did it exactly the way I wanted and we've just gone back to him to get our wedding rings. I would recommend them to anyone. You tell them what you want and your budget and they work around it as best they can. Really lovely to deal with too!
