My screen goes blank (as if it was turned off) whenever i phone someone and most of the time i only get back to active screen is when they hang up.
    Also
When I phone any business that has options e.g.to press 1 for accounts, 2 for sales, etc my screen goes blank(as if it was turned off) and the only way to hang up is to take out battery.

Any one ever come across something like this:confused::confused::confused:

Proximity sensor issue? Maybe you could turn it off in settings, call settings and see if that works. Not ideal because screen will be on whole time during calls.

Had this problem too go to settings think its in motion I've a s4 now and thats where I located it. Run a gyroscope calibration in there and I think its a horizontal calibration not sure of the second ones name but its in there when you find gyroscope calibration.
It has been removed on the s4 settings so I cant find the exact name for you.

lie it flat and run those, its the sensor when you put it to your ear doesn't realise you've removed it from your ear, those calibrations are hard to find in settings its ages since I had an s2, sorry I couldnt give exact names but once you find gyroscope calibration the second is there with it.
