Is anyone even watching!? Complete lack of discussion going on. This is season only has 10 eps so they need to pick it up a bit more.

There is no discussion because the show is rubbish. It's really that simple. It's a shadow of the show that we all watched in season 1. Ye know....when it had a plot.

If TB wasn't on in the summer doldrums, no one would be watching.
Please put it out of it's misery this time!

I gave up after 2 epispdes. Is it worth bothering to catch up or what? I thought I'd stick woth it for completeness sake but I haven't and I don't miss it either

Probably not actually. You could just watch the last episode and I imagine it would suffice, unless the next two before the finale actually have any kind of storyline progression.

It's descended to the level of home and away, one of the episodes where they moop about someone who has died.

Only reason I'm watching is it kill the time until Banshee starts which btw isn't a lot better this season. Perfume or deodorant add type shots and no plot whatsoever.

Just watched episode 4 and so far this season has been very poor. I wouldn't recommend watching this season tbh

Why True Blood Is Ending With Season 7
Once a show becomes wildly popular but peaks creatively, there are really two ways a network can go with a show. A company can choose to go the How I Met Your Mother or Grey’s Anatomy route and push into new territories and storylines beyond the original scope of the idea, often with a loss of quality. Or, a network can go out with a bang, choosing to end a series before many fans are quite ready to let that series go, a la Breaking Bad or Six Feet Under. Both options have their pros and cons, but clearly HBO is more worried about creative storytelling than how many people tune in each week.

"Every season we sit down with the creator and say ‘Tell us what the next year will be like.’ And if there aren't exciting, unbelievable, undeniable ideas in the coming season, we’re questioning. And I think in the case of True Blood, it just felt like we had reached a place where the storytelling was hitting a wall."

So why did they do 4 more seasons? TB hasn't been worth the time since season 3 and that wasn't much good.

as long as the writers can play with the their ideas & the boss happy & feedback still remain acceptable levels, why not ? :)

Absolutely rubbish. Really used to enjoy this show but I spent most of the time I was watching it on my phone. Totally wasted the hep v vamps and the Sarah newlan story.

Then we get a wedding ?

A wedding, a funeral and a reunion. It was soooo bad.
The best bits were Eric and Pam but Podge and Rodge would have been as good.
This has to be the worst show ever and the last four seasons served up some corkers so that's saying something.
To think I binged watched the first two seasons over a weekend. It was a cool, funny show. Who fupped it up?
