You mean the reminder to tax your car?
No they stopped that quite some time ago. You can log in to motortax.ie and set it to mails/sms

Did you renew online? Did you tick the box that said send reminder by email in future?

Have heard recently from someone working in the MTO that they've switched fully to email reminders.

Got a renewal email this morning with a pin number, don't remember ticking any box's the last time I renewed so I assume that they are no longer posting out renewal notice's anymore

On the part of the online renewal where it shows your address and email address there is a box that you tick that says something along the lines of agreeing to get correspondence by email if such a system is ever implemented. You probably ticked it a long time ago and forgot about it; I know I did!

I was still getting them by post up until last month when it arrived by email.

No big deal.. anyone who paid it online at all is likely checking their email at least once a day.

Be nice to see some of the savings made reflected in the tax bill though but some chance!

Not gonna happen, but avoiding end of the month to start of the month crowds in local MTO is good enough reason to tax it online. Very handy.
Also change of address can be processed online now (but to have it changed on VLC you still need to send it to Shannon).
